Ancestral Reflections: The Thompson Family Opening Exhibit

Ancestral Reflections: The Thompson Family is a collection of eight individual paintings that features the individual experiences of enslaved relatives which include a woman who served in the Civil War; and individual agricultural and civic activities during past times in the rural South Carolina; from the award-winning book, The Thompson Family: Untold Stories from The Past (1830-1960), which chronicles the rich history of the Thompson Family from Salley, South Carolina.

The exhibit will one on display be at the Center for African American History, Art, and Culture from October 25th, 2023, until January 3rd, 2024, during open hours and is open during the Center’s open hours. Please call for more information at (803) 404-2117.
